AMANDA GRIFFIN JACOB NAMED THE PHILIPPINES' SEXIEST VEGETARIAN

Tens of Thousands of Votes Were Cast to Help PETA Pick the Winner at PETAAsiaPacific.com
 
PETA Press, Manila  - Model and TV host Amanda Griffin Jacob has been crowned the Philippines' 2013 Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity after a fierce, monthlong battle that recently ended at PETAAsiaPacific.com. Griffin Jacob narrowly beat out Delara frontwoman Lougee Basabas, FHM cover girls Alicia Mayer and Geneva Cruz, and models Sandra Seifert and Julia Sniegowski for the title. 

Other popular contenders included actors Chin Chin Gutierrez, Raymond Bagatsing, and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan as well as international stars such as former U.S. President Bill Clinton, musicians Jason Mraz and Paul McCartney, talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres, and actors Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire, Jared Leto, and Anne Hathaway.
 
Griffin Jacobwho came into fame as a result of a high-profile modeling careeris currently busy shooting season two of her TV show Amanda, Living Life (premiering today on the Lifestyle Network!), and she also finds time to maintain the popular resource website for moms GlamoMamas.com.
 
"When I was eating meat, I had a lot of digestive issues," says Griffin Jacob, who went vegetarian in 2007. "Now that I'm vegetarian, I feel wonderful both mentally and physically. Most importantly, I know I'm giving my children the best possible start in life." Her advice to wannabe vegetarians? "Do it. Your mind and body will thank you for it."
 
"There's no easier way to put passion in your life than to put compassion in your diet," says PETA Asia Vice President Jason Baker. "Amanda knows that going vegetarian is the best thing that you can do for animals, the Earth, and your health. Plus, she's living proof that being vegetarian keeps you slim and sexy."
